Officer Dustin Harvey, from Bowling Green, took the oath in the presence of city officials and has already begun his duties. Originally from Columbia, KY, he said Brownsville and Edmonson County are very similar to Adair County, and that he is enjoying the area already. "I'm very excited to be in Brownsville," Officer Harvey said. "It's always been a dream of mine to work in law enforcement, and I couldn't ask for a better place to begin my career. The folks here have been nothing but helpful, so far." Officer Harvey is a 2012 graduate of Western Kentucky University. He said he's already been on patrol and is getting familiar with Brownsville. He said he was also looking forward to working with the department's personnel. "Chief Jewell and Sgt. Dennis have been great," he said. "I couldn't ask for better mentors and people."
