From the Edmonson County Sheriff's Office: Pursuant to KRS 424.280 and 424.130, we are required to publish in the local newspaper the following information: Tax bills will be sent out the last week of October for the current tax year. The collection dates and discount penalties are as follows: Nov. 1- Nov 30: 2% discount Dec. 1- Dec 31: Face Value of tax bill Jan. 1- Jan 31: 5% penalty added Feb. 1- April 15: 21% penalty added The Sheriff's offices offer the following ways to pay: Exact cash or within $10 of amount due Personal check Credit or debit card (a 2.5% credit fee or 1.5% debit fee will be added to the amount due) E-Check online (1.95% fee added) We also have a drop box on the side of the building for after hours payment dropoffs. If you own property in Edmonson County, it is your responsibility to pay your tax bill. Failure to receive your bill does not relieve you of your duties to pay your tax bill. If you haven’t received your tax bill by the second week of November, most likely it was sent to an old address or possibly lost by the US Postal Service. Please check online at www.edmonsonsheriff.com to look up your tax bill by name or address.
