(D. Doyle) On Monday, A 2004 Ford Taurus operated by Bernice Childress, 73, from Mammoth Cave was pulling from the parking lot at The Cee Bee Food Store. A 2001 Grand Prix operated by Lerica Highbaugh, 46, was south bound on Main Street. Ms. Childress pulled into the path of Ms. Highbaugh. Unable to avoid the collision, Ms. Highbaugh side-swiped Ms. Childress' vehicle. Ms. Highbaugh was transported by the Edmonson County EMS to the Medical Center in Bowling Green where she was treated and released.

It sounds like Mrs. Highbaugh was badly injured. She wasn't hospitalized, per say. She was transported to the hospital and shortly released. Glad everyone was OK.
