District 19 State Representative Michael Meredith (R) has filed for re-election, according to an announcement today. Meredith has held the office since 2011. The primary election for District 19 is set for May of 2024. An Edmonson County native, Meredith lives with his wife and children in Warren County.
He will face at least one challenger in May, Warren County resident Kelcey Rock. Rock ran for District 6 Magistrate in Warren County in the 2022 primary where he was defeated by incumbent Ron Cummings. Rock announced this week that he was seeking the office of District 19 Representative as a conservative republican. He lives with his wife and children on a farm in Warren County.
District 19 includes all of Edmonson and a portion of Warren County.
