Darren Doyle, story and photos The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to a two vehicle injury collision today at approx. 3:58 pm on Oak Hill Road in Edmonson County. Officials said that Margarett Oller (17) of Brownsville, a senior at Edmonson County High School, was operating a 2006 Saturn Ion and was traveling southbound on Oak Hill Road when she dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway and over-corrected. KSP reported that the vehicle then went into the opposing lane and struck a northbound 2011 Nissan Juke that was being operated by Courtney Johnson (26) of Brownsville. Ms. Oller was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision and was ejected from the vehicle. She was flown to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. A six year old female passenger in Ms. Johnson's vehicle was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Trooper Chris Newkirk. He was assisted on the scene by Edmonson County Sheriff's Department, Brownsville Police Department, Edmonson County EMS, Brownsville and Chalybeate Fire Department, and the Edmonson County Jaws of Life Personnel.
A landing zone for two helicopters was set up at the Edmonson County Public Library. Edmonson EMS, the Edmonson County Sheriff's Office, Brownsville and Chalybeate Firefighters, and the District 2 Constable responded to that scene as well. No other details were available.

Oak hill Church has needed to be straighten out for years and some of the hills cut down and shoulders fixed I can not for the life of me why it takes something like this to bring attention to our roads

I am so thankful for our county me and my girls was in this accident and they got there on the spot as fast as they possibly could that means a lot to me Bc my daughter and the teen was in very bad condition. Please continue to pray for my family and hers that's all I ask Bc at times like this we need to stick together and be there for one another. Thank you all!

I am very proud to say that we are very blessed to have so many people in our county that have so much love in their hearts that they are willing to donate their time & efforts to help when their is people in need. We need to be sure to let these people know just how much we love & appreciate them. I am so glad to be in a county where people have so much love for their neighbors. The lord in our hearts is why we have so much love for our neighbors. I am so glad to call Edmonson County my home. God bless all the volunteers we have in our blessed little county.
