Like them or not, kids are going to be wearing masks in Edmonson County Schools for the near future, and one local health clinic has made a generous donation to help. A Plus Family Healthcare in Brownsville recently donated 50,000 disposable masks to be distributed throughout local schools as needed. "We were able to acquire these through the Health Resources Services Administration and decided the best use for them was to get them to our local schools," said A Plus CEO Patrick Merritt. "It's just one of the many ways we feel like our services can be best utilized locally." The clinic also supplies medical assistants in each school that provides healthcare in a program called "A Plus Kid Care." Superintendent of Schools Brian Alexander said the school system appreciates the opportunity to partner with A Plus. "In a time of continued concern during the COVID virus pandemic, A Plus has come to the aid of our students with mask needs," he said. "We value the working partnership we have with A Plus Family Healthcare."
