BOWLING GREEN, KY – Today, Arts of Southern Kentucky announced that Color Me Badd, Kid ‘n Play, and Tone Lōc will perform at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SKyPAC) on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 7:30pm as part of the “I Love the 90’s” tour. A “house party” vibe will be in effect when 90’s icons Kid ‘n Play take the stage along with chart-topping soul group Color Me Badd, and “Wild Thing” rapper Tone Lōc. ABOUT COLOR ME BADD – Best known for hit singles “I Want to Sex You Up,” “Adore Mi Amor,” and “All 4 Love,” Color Me Badd has sold more than 12 million records. They have been nominated for multiple Grammy, Soul Train, and American Music Awards. ABOUT KID ‘n PLAY – Iconic stars of the House Party films, Kid ‘n Play posted a pair of Billboard No. 1 Rap Singles (“Funhouse” and “Ain’t Gonna Hurt Nobody”). They also had their own animated television show and comic book series. Buchanon, Orchestra Kentucky assumed management of the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SKyPAC). The new organization, which also includes BG Onstage and the Ramsey Theatre Company, is titled Arts of Southern Kentucky, and is led administratively and artistically by Jeffrey Reed. The Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center is a premier performing arts venue located in downtown Bowling Green, KY. The facility includes the Rita and Jim Scott Concert Hall, a 1,700-seat state-of-the-art auditorium; the Goodwin Gallery, the primary art exhibition space; the Renshaw Education Center which houses the Carol Wedge Studio Theater - a flexible 2,600 sq. ft. space for intimate productions and gatherings; several multi-functional rehearsal halls/classrooms; and the Denny and Carol Wedge Children’s Art Gallery.
