New Facility Now Open Next To Alford's Pharmacy Darren Doyle, story and photos: A new medical facility has opened in Brownsville and is now accepting new patients. "A+ Family Healthcare" is now open in the Main Street Center next door to Alford's Pharmacy and Drive Thru. According to Heather Parsley, APRN, who manages the clinic, the facility will be a primary care office that will cater to all healthcare needs. Parsley brings years of experience to the clinic and hopes that patients will feel at home in their Brownsville office by the local faces employed there. According to Parsley, the opportunity for another local clinic was presented to her back in March and through a local team effort, the new business opened up six months later. "My love has always been primary care," she said. "So many people are not established with a regular primary care practice and that's what we want to provide here." Parsley is no stranger to Edmonson County even though she is originally from the Glasgow area. She's been married to her husband, Brian, for nearly 20 years and has attended church locally for a long period of time. A WKU Nursing School graduate, she's also previously worked at Caverna Primary Care Clinic, managing chronic disease in addition to being employed at Medical Center Urgent Care. "Our goal is listen to patients, make the correct diagnosis, and get our patients on the right track with the proper treatment," she said. The facility will manage acute and chronic illnesses, offer onsite x-rays, and provide all basic healthcare needs, including physicals. Also working at the clinic is Ashley Graham, radiology tech and office manager, part-time radiology tech Lindsey Skaggs, and Susie Estes, receptionist. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and closed noon to 1pm for lunch. Parsley said that making appointments during business hours are the most efficient way to be seen. They've just launched their Facebook page which Parsley said will be a great place to keep track of the latest happenings and where folks might even stumble upon an occasional giveaway.
"We're planning a local Chamber of Commerce grand opening sometime in the near future," she said. "We also appreciate everyone's patience as our new signage is under construction. We're so excited to be here and we look forward to being part of our Edmonson County community." The clinic is 100% locally owned and operated. You can call the clinic during regular business hours at (270) 975-4050.

If you have a need to see someone for an illness or injury I would suggest Heather and A+ Healthcare. Prompt polite service!
