If you've ever been to Edmonson County Circuit Court Clerk Tanya Hodges' office, you've probably wondered why there's a Christmas tree up all year long. The truth is, it's only a Christmas tree during the Christmas season. Throughout the rest of the year, it's decorated for the appropriate holiday at the time.
Currently, you'll find a "Thanksgiving Tree," decorated with colored leaves designed by the fourth grade classes of South Edmonson Elementary.
"The students wrote what they are thankful for on the leaves for me to hang on the tree," said Circuit Court Clerk Hodges. "We decorate the tree for all different seasons. I thought this was very nice of them and they deserved some credit."
The leaves were decorated by fourth graders from classes of Mrs. Kim Taylor, Mrs. Lisa Basil, Mrs. Heather White and Mrs. Heather Deweese.
