Three Other ECHS Students Also Compete Darren Doyle, story: Cam Lich, who will be a senior at ECHS in the upcoming school year, has won first place for his exhibit at the National Beta Convention over the past weekend. Four local students competed in the national competition in Nashville: Danyale Atwell–Agriscience 12th grade, Riley Monroe–Agriscience 10th grade, MaKaylee Thompson–Painting 11th/12th grade, and Cam Lich–Woodworking 11th/12th grade. This was Miss Atwell's third time in the national competition, the second for Mr. Lich, and the first for Miss Monroe and Miss Thompson. Lich built a headboard and won first place at the Kentucky Beta Convention in January and entered the headboard at the National Convention and was awarded first place. He competed against students from all across the nation.
Joy Curtis, Beta Club Sponsor for ECHS, said the Kentucky Beta Convention will be held in January 2023 and the National Beta Convention will be held in June 2023; both will be held in Louisville. "After school begins, there will be an interest meeting to join Beta Club and begin planning for the State and National Conventions," she said. Cam is the son of Stuart and Amanda Lich of Windyville.
