Kosair Car Show At SEES Raises Over $4500

Family members of local toddler Brystol Childress, 19 months, held a benefit car show for Kosair Children's Hospital on her behalf this past Saturday, October 29, 2016 at South Edmonson Elementary School.

Brystol is a patient of the hospital and her family hosted the event as a way to give back to the organization for all they've done for Brystol through her health issues. She suffers from Asplenia and Congenital Heart Disease. 

Event coordinator and family member Renee Porter said the event raised a total of $4,621.00. 

"We had 85 cars and sold out of food twice," she said. "It was amazing." She also said that Brystol handed out each trophy and award herself.

Brystol is the daughter of Travis and Rae Childress of Cub Run.
