Local Girl Places in Miss Kentucky Pageant

Laney Meredith, a junior at Edmonson County High School, had the opportunity to compete in the 2015 Miss Kentucky Fair Pageant, held at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville over the weekend. Meredith, a previous winner of Miss Teen Edmonson County and Miss Butler County Fair 2014, won Fourth Runner Up in the contest featuring 92 girls from across the state.

The contestants were ages 16-22 and were judged in three categories: Interviews, Swimsuit, and Evening Gown. "The competition was really tough and everyone was so beautiful," Laney said. "I was so shocked to have been Fourth Runner Up out of 92 girls! It's hard to stand out when you're competing against that many girls."
