Boys Earn Merit Badge While Enjoying Campground
Edmonson Voice Staff Report: photos courtesy of BSA, Troop 597:
On October 20 & 21, 2017, Edmonson County Boy Scout Troop 597 camped at Double J Stables in the Mammoth Cave/Lincoln Community in Edmonson County. The Scouts cooked their own supper - walking tacos, and enjoyed the camp ground.
On the following morning, the Scouts participated in the horsemanship merit badge sponsored by Double J Stables. During the course the Scouts learned about the care of horses. The highlight of the merit badge experience was the opportunity for the Scouts to enjoy a trail ride, which they thoroughly enjoyed.
The Scouts wished to extend a huge that you to Double J Stables for all that they did for the Scouts.
Edmonson County Boy Scout Troop 597 is sponsored by the Edmonson County Lions Club.
