Edmonson Voice Staff On May 7, 2016, Scouts from Edmonson County Pack 597 and Troop 597, assisted Edmonson County High School Principal Tommy Hodges with the spreading of mulch in preparation for the ECHS prom and Graduation ceremonies. "The Scouts thought it was an overwhelming task looking at the initial pile of mulch, but soon realized that taking small loads from the pile soon made the pile disappear," said Scout Leader Derek Curtis. "The Scouts soon found themselves laughing and having fun, thanks to Mr. Hodges." Principal Hodges said that he had a great time working with the young men from the local boy scout troop. "They did a great job mulching the front area of the school," he said. "I was a boy scout many many years ago and I’m proud to see they are still learning that helping in the community is important."
