Edmonson Voice Staff Report: photos courtesy of Eddie Simon & Clarksville Mudcats Facebook:
Few people in the world ever get the chance to don a World Series Championship ring, and while it wasn't one from Major League Baseball, one local second grader was able to do just that after his travel team went to the finals in a recent Tennessee tournament.
Noah Simon, age 7, and catcher for the Clarksville Mudcats 8 and Under traveling baseball team, was awarded his BPA World Series ring this past weekend after his team came in second place during the league's world series that took place July 11-16 of this year.
While they didn't take home the championship trophy, each member of the team was awarded the ring for making the finals.
Noah is the son of Eddie and Emily Simon of Chalybeate and is in Mrs. Jessica VanMeter's class at South Edmonson Elementary.
