Trent Whittle & Hunter Ashley of Edmonson County performed before a live audience during the December 6 general session of Kentucky Farm Bureau’s (KFB) 100th annual meeting in Louisville. Winner of both the Edmonson County and District 3 preliminary contests, Trent and Hunter were one of 11 acts invited to perform at the state level Variety Showcase. The competition is sponsored annually by KFB to support youth achievement in entertainment. Trent and Hunter, who did a vocal & guitar performance of "The Auctioneer", were awarded a $250 check for being named the district winner of the Variety Showcase. KFB’s District 3 is a regional grouping of Kentucky counties, consisting of: Breckenridge, Butler, Edmonson, Grayson, Hancock, Hardin, Hart, Larue, Meade and Ohio. Approximately 2,000 members attended KFB’s 100th annual meeting in Louisville, December 4-7, to recognize this year’s individual and organizational achievements and adopt policy for 2020.
