Sheri Puckett recently celebrated her retirement with the U.S. Postal Service after 29 years of service. Sheri was a familiar face in Brownsville, but she was involved in many post offices and roles as she moved up the ladder, which went back to 1994 where she began as a city carrier and clerk in Scottsville. She transferred as a clerk in Brownsville in 1995, and soon became postmaster in 1999 in the surrounding areas of Jetson, Bee Spring, Sweeden, and Park City. Sheri was Officer in Charge in Morgantown and Bowling Green and became postmaster of Brownsville in 2008. She worked various details throughout Kentucky and Indiana and later conducted audits in New York, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, West Virginia, and other cities, and held even more supervisory and influential positions throughout her career. Sheri was offered even more opportunities to advance in the USPS, "but I never wanted to leave my hometown," she said. Lindsey Omran is currently acting as the Brownsville Postmaster after Sheri retired on June 1st. Sheri is married to Tim Puckett.
