One of the focuses was the Steps To Work program, which is currently ongoing in Edmonson County. The program is offered to students in their last two years of high school and gives opportunities for students to work with local businesses for real-life work experiences. Students work two hours per day, five days per week, for six weeks, where they are paid. Currently, the Edmonson County program has 94 students in 11 different businesses, with 40 job coaches.
