Volunteers Will Receive Free Admission and Free Parking
The Kentucky State Fair is right around the corner, which means it is time to recruit volunteers for Aug. 16-26. Each year the Edmonson County Tourism office sponsors the Edmonson County booth in the “Pride In The Counties” exhibit.
To achieve this goal, volunteers are needed to sit in the booth each day. The Tourism Office provides volunteers with free admission tickets which also includes free parking.
“If you love our county and love talking to people, this will be your cup of tea,” said Rhonda Clemmons, Tourism Director.
County literature is available in the booth detailing the lake, the cave, and our businesses.
“We do this project every year to spotlight the great things Edmonson County has to offer and to welcome tourists to our community” she added.
Each year businesses, organizations, neighbors and families volunteer to “Adopt A Day” at the state fair.” Those sponsoring have a plaque on display in the exhibit as the “Sponsor of the Day."
