The Edmonson County Chamber of Commerce wishes to announce a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 3PM on Tues. May 31. “This will be a special Ribbon Cutting that will also be a Blessing Ceremony," said Rhonda Clemmons, Chamber Director. St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Sunfish opened the St. John’s Thrift Store last year and are now opening St. John’s Food Pantry to assist low income families in providing extra food items that may be needed. The Food Pantry is located at 301 North Main Street in Brownsville, 270-597-1038. The Thrift Store and Food Pantry will be open Monday-Saturday 9 am to 2:45 pm. Their mission is to share the love of Christ with all those in need. They accept all food and monetary donations to support their mission in helping to provide food to all those in need. The thrift store and food pantry are ministries of the Catholic Church to the people of Edmonson County and are both owned and operated by the members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Sunfish and supported by other churches, volunteers and local organizations. All are welcome to attend the Ribbon Cutting and Blessing Ceremony on Tues. May 31 at 3pm.
