EC Youth Football Signups

Sign ups for Edmonson County Youth football and Football Cheerleading are going on now.  All kids ages 6 to 12 and that have not advanced to the seventh grade are eligible.

Our schedule this week:

8/8       9am to 11am.  Sign-ups and  practicing in shorts, T-shirts, and Cleats
8/10     6pm to 7:30pm.  Sign-ups and practicing in Helmets, shorts, T-shirts, and Cleats
8/11     6pm to 7:30pm.  Sign-ups and practicing in Helmets, shorts, T-shirts, and Cleats
8/13     6pm to 7:30pm.  Practice only in Helmets, shorts, T-shirts, and Cleats
8/15     9am to 11am.  Practice only in Helmets, shorts, T-shirts, and Cleats

This year, we're participating in a brand new conference.  I am very excited to meet with you and explain the benefits.  Sign-up fee will be $50.00.  Practices are always 6:00pm to 7:30 on Mon, Tues., and Thursday of each week.  All practices and sign ups take place at the High school football facilities.  We travel to surrounding counties and play games on Saturdays and some week days, against some of the same teams as the Middle School and High School. 

We have a Coaches Certification training program for all coaches.  We are a feeder program and consequently have the same Offense, Defense, and strategic outlook as the middle and high school programs.  If your child plays for us, they will be prepared to play in our High School program.  Some returning players have been practicing for 3 weeks on Saturdays at their request.  

This is the first time we have taken this approach and we love it.  The coaches and I are very proud of those dedicated players.  Come join us on Saturday and get your Football career started.
