The Edmonson County Wildcats defeated Thomas Nelson 56-53 on Saturday with the help of Dakota Woodcock, who scored 16 points.ECHS locked in the win in the fourth quarter on a free throw from Hunter Buttram. With a 24-20 lead at the half, Edmonson County scored points early in the game. Woodcock led Edmonson County Wildcats Varsity's offense, going 5-for-11 (45%) from the field while also going 5-for-6 from the free throw line. Austin Sowders added another solid performance with 14 points. Also contributing for Edmonson County were Chase Turley (7 points, 5 rebounds), Trevor Norris (6 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal), Devin Elmore (5 points, 3 rebounds), Buttram (4 points, 4 rebounds), Daniel Caudill (2 points, 1 rebound) and Bailey Board (2 points, 2 rebounds).
