Edmonson Voice Staff Granville Meredith, Contributor The Wildcats enjoyed sunny skies today at the Glasgow Country Club as the boys competed in the 3rd Region Tournament. Although ECHS didn't earn bragging rights as a team, the individual score from Hunter Buttram was good enough to earn a 2nd place medal for the Wildcat junior. Buttram tied with Warren East's Brett Beckham after their respective rounds with a 72, at which point they held a "scorecard playoff." This is where the most difficult hole on the scorecard is compared from both players, and the best score from that hole becomes the winner. Beckham shot a par on the hole, however, Buttram edged him with a birdie, taking sole possession of the second place medal. Buttram now has earned the right to compete in the state tournament which will begin Thursday, October 9th at Bowling Green Country Club with a practice round. Friday the 10th will be the qualifying round with the tourney being held on Saturday, October 11th. Head Coach Tommy Webb, Buttram, Buttram as he accepts his Buttram with an impressive
