ECMS Lady Cats Hold Award Banquet

The ECMS Lady Cats basketball squad held their post-season awards banquet last night (Feb.8) at The Ken Byrd Center in Chalybeate. The players, coaches, and families, enjoyed a nice evening of reflection and good food. Coach Tyra Ballance handed out awards and gifts to each 6th, 7th, 8th grade girl that was apart of the of 2014-15 season. A special video tribute was viewed by all in attendance, followed by some special recognition, and the 8th grade's Conference Championship banner was unveiled by Principal Brandon Prunty. Before the night was over the players presented gifts to both coaches Tom Vincent and Tyra Ballance. The 8th grade girls also presented a very special gift to Coach Tyra Ballance that capped off the night.

 The 8th grade girls have won back to back Green River Valley Conference Championships under Coach Tyra Ballance. These ladies are not only exceptional athletes, most are also exceptional students. Many will continue to play basketball for Edmonson County in high school. We wish them much success in all their endeavors.
