Edmonson County Falls To Trinity At Region 3 All A

The Trinity Lady Raiders were too much for Edmonson County today at the All A Region 3 Tournament, hosted at ECHS.

The six-team event began this morning with Owensboro Catholic defeating Hancock County in two sets. The Lady Cats faced Trinity immediately following. 

The first set started with each team being aggressive at the net with hard hits and effective blocks. After a 3-3 tie, Trinity put together an 8-3 run that forced a Lady Cat timeout.

Another run by the Lady Raiders extended their lead to 21-10. The Lady Cats were unable to stop Trinity as they dropped the first set 25-15.

Trinity kept the momentum rolling in set two as they got out to a 4-1 lead. Three straight by the Lady Cats tied the score at 4-all. The Lady Raiders pushed forward on a run that was capped off with a 5-1 streak that forced an Edmonson timeout at 18-11.

The Lady Cats scored first out of the timeout but Trinity was able to finish on a 7-3 run, taking the set 25-15, and the game, 2-0.

Edmonson County is now 3-13 on the season. They are scheduled to take on Warren Central at home on Monday, September 10th at 5:30 pm for a JV-Varsity-Freshman game.
