UPDATE: MONDAY'S GAME TIME HAS BEEN CHANGED TO BEGIN AT 5:30PM, NOT 5PM AS LISTED ON THE SCHEDULE. WE JUST FOUND OUT FROM THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR'S TWITTER ACCOUNT.

The Lady Cat Volleyball team is scheduled to finish their regular season games this week with home games on Monday, Oct 10, and Tuesday Oct 11. Monday's game will be against Caverna in a JV/V game beginning at 5pm.

Tuesday, the final home game of the season will also feature senior night festivities as the Lady Cats honor senior Dina Hollis and her family. In addition, the game will be the annual "Dig Pink" Cancer benefit game where a portion of the proceeds of the gate and concessions along with the huge silent auction will benefit a local family affected by cancer.

Some of the items included in the auction are gift certificates and cards from Mimi's Gift Gallery, Scott Skaggs Photography, Mellow Mushroom, Walden's BBQ, Rafferty's, Cee Bee, Regal Movie Theater, and more. Also items like WKU Football tickets and Corvette Museum tickets, beautiful crafts and art, along with merchandise  and gifts from local businesses are included.

The Lady Cats are on an eight game winning streak, all of which have been sweeps of their opponents, making it 19 consecutive set wins. A win tonight will tie last year's winning streak of nine. The all-time school record for consecutive game wins is 17, set back in 2007.

Edmonson County is 20-9 on the season and will wind up regular season play this Thursday at Allen County.

District tournament play is scheduled to begin next week at Butler County. A trip to the finals also means that you'll be able to listen to the game on WildcatsLive for the first live volleyball broadcast in the school's history, thanks to an agreement between ECHS and the Edmonson Voice.
