Lady Cats Cruise Past Warren East, Win Fifth In A Row

The Lady Cats cruised past Warren East Monday night at ECHS 62-42 in the fifth straight win for Edmonson County, led by Caitlin Simon's 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals.

The Lady Raiders held their own in the first quarter, trailing only 11-9 going into the second, but Edmonson County began to create some space and stretched the EC lead to 30-16 at the half.

The Lady Cats continued their execution in the second half as they went on to notch the 20-point victory.

In addition to Simon's performance, Skylar Lewis and Peyton Martin also had solid nights as Lewis scored a season-high 15 with 4 rebounds while Martin added 13.

The remaining box score was: Collins 5, Cline 2, Logsdon 2, Alexander 1. 

The Lady Cats improve to 10-4 on the season and are scheduled to travel to Morgantown on Tuesday night to take on Butler County in the first district game of the year. The girl/boy doubleheader has a 6pm tip off. The WildcatsLive pregame show will start around 5:45pm.
