Darren Doyle, story and photos: Edmonson County Lady Cat Volleyball notched their second win of the season last night on the road at Russellville, winning 2-0. The Lady Cats jumped out to a 12-3 start, which prompted a timeout from the Lady Panthers. Edmonson kept up the pace as they put 5 unanswered on the board and forced Russellville to take their second timeout at 17-3. The Lady Cats only allowed the Lady Panthers to score two more points as they dominated the rest of the set, 25-5. Russellville's start to the second set improved from the first as they tied the score at 3. The Lady Panthers hung around until a 6-1 run forced a Russellville timeout at 15-7. Edmonson County had little trouble completing the rest of the set on top as they went on to win 25-11 and the game, 2-0.
The Lady Cats are now 2-8 on the season and are scheduled to travel to Whitesville Trinity tonight for a district game beginning at 6pm.
