Morgan Skaggs returns against Muhlenburg. Laney Meredith during 3rd Regional Tournament. The ECHS Lady Cat Volleyball season came to an end last night as they fell to Owensboro Catholic in the 3rd Region Semifinals. The Lady Aces put on an impressive display, defeating ECHS in three sets, (25 – 15) (25 – 19) (25 – 10). Fans and parents will tell you that the girls have been fun to watch all season long, through good and bad, and that they are a great group of ladies who played each game with all their hearts. Lone senior and co-captain Julie Sullivan did a great job with her leadership and outstanding back row play. She'll be missed next season, and we wish her the best.
Editor's note: We send out a personal thanks to our volleyball correspondent and contributor, Granville Meredith. He covered each game, and provided quotes, storylines, and photos throughout the entire season. After last night's game he said, "I've been so proud of these girls all season long and they've made this game so much fun to watch. Keep the desire to make yourself and your team better next year!" The Lady Cats end the year with a winning 17 – 15 record. Thanks for a fun season and a job well done. We all look forward to next season. EV Staff, Granville Meredith, Contributor, Photos
