Lady Cats Swept By Allen County Scottsville

The Edmonson County Lady Cats fell to 3-1 on the season after getting swept by Allen County Scottsville in two sets at ECHS on Thursday night.

The Lady Patriots grabbed the first three points of the set before Edmonson could get on the scoreboard, and Allen County's offense continued the pace and took a 6-1 lead. Edmonson began chipping away and climbed back in, tying the score at 11-11, but the Lady Patriots stepped on the gas and finished the set on a 14-3 run, taking set one 25-14.

Edmonson County had some miscues during set two that allowed the Lady Patriots to take a 9-2 lead, which forced an Edmonson County timeout. Allen County Scottsville took advantage of some miscommunication by the Lady Cats and took a commanding 18-5 lead and they never looked back.

Allen County went on to win set two 25-13 and the game (2-0) as they improved to 2-2 on the season. 

​Edmonson County is scheduled to head to Owensboro tomorrow evening for the Apollo Summer Slam Tournament in Owensboro.
