![]() Edmonson Voice Staff Granville Meredith, Contributor, Photos The ECHS Lady Cat volleyball team traveled to Henderson this week to play in the Jerry Mezur Spikefest Tournament. They began pool play on Friday night to determine which division that they would be competing in. After losses to South Warren and Breckinridge County and a win against Webster County, the Lady Cats were placed in the Bronze division, having to face McClean County. The Lady Cats won (25 – 21) and (25 – 12) which put them in the championship game against Franklin County. Behind great serves, great blocking, and great kills by all, ECHS was crowned the champion, bringing home first place in the Bronze Division. The Lady Cats have their final home game tonight which will be Dig Pink Night and Senior Night. Freshman, JV, and Varsity will square off with Hart County starting at 5pm. On Tuesday ECHS Volleyball will travel to Allen County for their last game of the season then will move on to play in the District Tournament, which will be hosted by ECHS. The team wishes to express their thanks to all the parents, family, and fans for their wonderful support this season as well as all the wonderful sponsors that have contributed to this year's success.
