The Lady Cats and Wildcats will take the floor one final time tonight in the last home game of their high school careers. The girls game is scheduled for tip off at 6pm, with the first half of Senior Night Festivities planned to begin just before game time.
Not only Lady Cat basketball seniors will be recognized, but also cheer and band members as well. All first half participants are asked to be at ECHS no later than 5:30 tonight. The second half of the night will recognize not only boys basketball seniors, but also archery team members as well. Those participating are asked to arrive no later than 7:00pm. Edmonson County Youth Basketball Little League members will be recognized at halftime during the boys game. ECHS Pep Band president Joy Curtis has also announced that tonight will also be "Fan Night," and encourages everyone in attendance to wear Edmonson County gear and attire. The Lady Cats are on a 5-game winning streak and look to leave ECHS tonight winners going into the district tournament next week. They were defeated 50-48 by Greenwood earlier in the season on a last-second shot in Bowling Green. The boys just completed a 6-0 perfect district regular season record, as they defeated Whitesville Trinity earlier in the week. They look to avenge the Greenwood Gators, who also beat the Wildcats 67-66 on a buzzer-beater at Greenwood earlier in the season. If you can't attend the game, you can listen to Jamie and DD live on WildcatsLive, tonight beginning around 5:45pm, on your home for ECHS sports, EdmonsonVoice.com.
