Wildcat Basketball 2021 Senior Night: Wilson Recognized For 1000 Points, Seven Seniors Honored2/24/2021 Cats Fall To Hart County But Celebrate Milestones Chaz Wilson, son of Erick and Michelle Wilson, was honored for scoring his 1000th point this season. Darren Doyle, story: Cameron Whitfill, photos: The Wildcats were defeated by Hart County last night at ECHS 72-67, but the boys were still able to celebrate their 2021 senior night with their families. During the ceremony, senior Chaz Wilson was recognized for scoring his 1000th career point, which occurred at Glasgow on February 8th. Wilson, who is averaging 18 points per game and is ranked 4th in the state at nearly 14 rebounds per game, was presented a special basketball commemorating the event. In addition to Wilson, six other seniors and their families were honored during the ceremony which included Isaiah Johnson, Dylan Lindsey, Lane Lindsey, Gavin Rose, Jon Smith, and Daniel Woosley. The Wildcats were led by Chaz Wilson's 19 points and 15 rebounds, followed by Daniel Woosley's 18 points and 4 rebounds. Gavin Rose added 13 points, Jon Smith scored 6 and pulled 5 rebounds, Jon Smith and Trace Taylor added 6 points each, Isaiah Johnson had 5 points, and Lane Lindsey added one point.
The Wildcats are now 6-7 on the season and are scheduled to travel to Logan County on Thursday for a girl/boy doubleheader with the Lady Cats scheduled for a 6pm tip.
