The Edmonson County Wildcats locked down their lead in the third quarter on a two-pointer. Edmonson County and Glasgow were tied up at 26-26 at the half, but the Cats pulled away during the final two quarters. Edmonson County had a strong finish, adding 21 points in the final quarter. Bedwell was on the ball for ECHS, making 71% (5-for-7) from the field and hitting 75% (9-for-12) from the free throw line. Two other players also racked up double figure scoring for Edmonson County. Chase Turley scored 12 points and Devin Elmore added 10 points. Also helping the effort was Hunter Buttram (5 points, 5 rebounds), Dakota Woodcock(5 points, 1 steal), Trevor Norris (3 points, 2 rebounds) and Bailey Board (2 points, 2 rebounds). Turley was a big defensive contributor as well, as he scooped up eight rebounds, swiped two steals and added one block. Edmonson County finished the game with 36 total rebounds (13 offensive/23 defensive), one block and six steals. “We fought really hard tonight and are coming together nicely, we're playing great team basketball. Great defense and good shot selection tonight helped us get the win," Coach McClintic stated. Austin “Cuban” Sowders left the game last night after reinjuring his shoulder. Sowders came down awkwardly from a rebound in obvious pain. He originally injured it last season and has since had issues with it. Coach Weaver said, “It's one of those injuries that can happen at any time. Over the summer, Cuban reinjured it while swimming. We'll just take it day by day and see how it goes.” The Wildcats will travel to Larue County on Tuesday, December 16. Granville Meredith, Sports Contributor
