Trojans Win Handily Over Wildcats 81-51 The Wildcats had their hands full on Monday night against a very quick, athletic, and solid shooting Barren County team in a lopsided 81-51 loss. Barren County had already forced two turnovers and a 6-0 lead against the Wildcats in the first 39 seconds of the game. Unfortunately for Edmonson County, they never recovered and 22-7 first quarter deficit for the Cats proved to be too much to overcome. Dalton Decker was the only real source of offense for Edmonson County with 17 points, followed by Mason Pierce's 8.
Also contributing for the Wildcats was Nick Clemmons with 5, Jon Smith with 5, Daniel Woosley with 4, Trent Taylor and Isaiah Johnson with 3 each, and Gavin Rose and Luke Meredith had 2 apiece. Edmonson County is now 2-4 on the season and is scheduled to take on Metcalfe County in the first round of the Caveland Classic this Thursday at 7:15 at ECHS. The tournament will be held December 19-21 at home, thanks to Raffery's/Double Dogs.
