One Regular Season Game Left Before Playoffs Begin Edmonson Voice Sports:
The Wildcats had a tough time stopping the 8-1 LaRue County Hawks last night in Hodgenville as they fell 32-7 to their district foe. The Hawks were led by senior quarterback Dane Milby, who provided fuel for much of LaRue's offense last night, along with a very experienced team. The Hawks had 22 seniors on the field last night. The Wildcats were in a bit of a hole early on, taking a 19-0 deficit into the locker room at the half. Edmonson County answered in the third quarter as Logan Lindsey broke through for a three-yard touchdown. Brett Brannon's kick cut LaRue's lead to 19-7, but the Wildcats would get no closer as the Hawks went on to score a touchdown as time wound down in the quarter, and again at the start of the fourth for a final of 32-7. The Wildcats saw very little offense from their passing game, connecting on 5/9 attempts for a total of only 45 team yards. Logan Lindsey led the team in rushing yards with 56 on 11 carries, Tucker Cole added 24yds, Brayden Carey, who was nursing a sore ankle, added 18yds, and Kenny Logsdon went for 17yds. Edmonson County is now 5-4 on the season and will take on Barren County for the final regular season game next THURSDAY at Warren Central High School. Game time is set for 7pm with your Edmonson Voice WildcatsLive pregame show beginning at 6:45pm.
