It was much of the same for the Wildcats in the third as they continued to extend their lead. Once once it hit twenty late in the quarter, Edmonson County began to picture themselves cutting down the nets; however, Grayson County decided to hang around for another quarter.

The Cougars went on a 27-10 run in the fourth that shook the Wildcats and stunned fans. Edmonson County struggled with turnovers and missed some crucial free throws down the stretch. Grayson County climbed all the way back and tied the score at 52, which forced overtime.
