Sissy's Steak Nachos

  • 1lb beef sirloin, cut into strips
  • taco seasoning
  • refried beans
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or 1 cup Mexican blend cheese
  • tortilla chips
  • sour cream
  • salsa
  • green onion
  • jalapenos or banana peppers
​
  1. Cut steak into thin strips. (The thinner, the better).
  2. Brown in skillet and add taco seasoning as directed on package.
  3. Heat beans.
  4. Layer chips in a baking dish.
  5. Layer chips with half of your beans, steak,& cheese.
  6. Repeat and place in oven on 325 until cheese is melted.
  7. Top with salsa, sour cream, green onions and peppers until covered.

CrockPot Pizza Chicken Pasta

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 medium bell peppers, cut into strips 
  • 2 cups  pasta sauce (from 25.5 oz jar)
  • 1 package (16 oz) rotini pasta
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz) 

Steps
  • Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, place chicken. Top with onion and bell peppers. Add pasta sauce.
  • Cover; cook on Low heat setting 4 to 6 hours.
  • Cook and drain pasta as directed on package. Place pasta on platter. Top with chicken and sauce. Sprinkle with cheese.

Grape Salad Delight

Ingredients:
  •  8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 lb. green seedless grapes
  • 1 lb. red seedless grapes
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 to 8 miniature Butterfinger candy bars
  • ½ cup brown sugar
 
Directions:
​Crush Butterfingers and stir in brown sugar.  Set aside.
  1. In a separate bowl, blend together sour cream, cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar.
  2. Stir in grapes.
  3. Pour grapes into a 9x13 pan and spread out evenly.
  4. Top with Butterfinger and brown sugar mixture.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Ingredients:
2 cups crushed pretzels
¾ cup butter, melted
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped cream, thawed
2 (3 ounce) packages strawberry flavored Jell-O
2 cups boiling water
2 (10 ounce) packages frozen strawberries
 
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Stir together crushed pretzels, melted butter and 3 tablespoons sugar.  Mix well and press mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
  3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, until set.  Set aside to cool.
  4. In a large mixing bowl cream together cream cheese and 1 cup sugar.  Fold in whipped topping.  Spread mixture onto cooled crust.
  5. Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water.  Stir in still frozen strawberries and allow to set briefly.  When mixture is about the consistency of egg whites, pour and spread over cream cheese layer. 
  6. Refrigerate until set.
